Starting to feel stagnant at work? These are ways to improve your workplace Positiveness. Although it may be difficult to believe, the average office worker spends one-third of each week feeling down, depressed, or discouraged. That equates to 480 hours of negative emotions per year! Worse, when we’re down, we’re more likely to make poor decisions and have negative interactions with our coworkers and loved ones. The following is a list of ideas you can implement to improve these negative sentiments for whatever reason.

Never drag yourself to work again, especially if “I hate my job” is your common phrase

Has the excitement of going to work already become a thing of the past? Do you always find yourself whining about injustices at work?

If you are no longer seeing the good things in what you do, you might be on the brink of quitting your job as you lack motivation.

Gone are the days when you jump out of bed before the alarm goes off. Every day seems like a struggle and you have to put on a facade, fake a smile and pretend everything is fine even when deep down inside, you just want to throw in the towel, hate it and maybe even want to leave your job.

If you lack motivation, there really is no genie in a bottle that can instantly make you fall in love with your job again.

However, these 26 techniques can be employed so you can slowly allow motivation to work its way into your system.

First 8 Ways To Be More Positive At Work

1. Start the day right.

Don’t let an early morning negative experience set the tone for the rest of the day. Quickly counter-act it for a positive thought or for another action that has a more positive result.

2. Avoid too many to-do lists.

Have you ever felt like you are trying to do everything and get nothing done? That’s what having too many to do lists will do. The best way is to only have one list and prioritize your work.

3. Keep a record of the things you have accomplished for the day.

Take 5 minutes at the end of the day to jot down the things you accomplished for the day. Trust me, this will have more than one benefit. First, it will give you a visual reminder of the things you achieved for the day, plus it will be a “proof” of all the hard work you are doing, it may come in handy down the road when you are asking for a raise.

4. Make everything simple.

Don’t over-complicate things. The simpler you organize everything, the less daunting you make them when it comes to getting them done.

5. Add some variations.

There is nothing worst then performing the same task over and over and over. Always be on the lookout for new things to do. This is a good time to look at your natural talents and apply them to do other things. Open yourself up to trading tasks with other people, this can create a win-win so no one gets bogged down in boredom with the same old tasks.

6. Make some changes to your work environment.

When possible, decorate your workplace by including inspiring and uplifting objects, some people like to put toys plants or pictures which not only will motivate you but can ignite your creativity and boost your motivation.

7. Keep yourself busy.

Have you ever been in a job where you look at the clock almost every minute?

Not only could this be a product of having boring tasks but it can also be because you are simply not keeping busy. Keeping busy will not only keep you from getting bored but will definitely make it seem like time is going faster–and that will give you no time to get bored.

Take these to generate some ideas on some of the things you can do and don’t drag yourself to work again. Personally, the first tip “Commute” marked one of the most significant changes in my life. When I started to replace listening to useless radio shows on my way to work, I replaced them for motivational, inspirational and other audios that I could gain something productive from.

They created a huge change in my life. They help you change your overall paradigm of how you look at your job and life overall. They start to awaken a spark of ideas and fuel your optimism.

All you need is a little action after this because through action you will start to create real change.

There is one tip that wasn’t mentioned anywhere previously:

For those who think they hate their current jobs, learn to look at it in a different perspective. You can choose to focus on how much you hate it and make yourself miserable every single day, dragging yourself, or you can instead look at it as a stepping stone that will allow you to go into something you really enjoy or love doing.

Pay less attention to all the reasons and things you hate about it, and find even one good thing about it and focus on that. This will allow you to pay more attention and visualize how your perfect job looks like. Your job will morph into something you actually start to enjoy, or it can give you some of the means to facilitate your next and more rewarding job.

It’s all in how you condition your mind, there is no need for you to drag yourself to work every day when you start focusing on the positive side of it.

Hope this has inspired you or at least given you some ideas.
